Artist's Statement
Carol has had an interest in art from the very begining and won 5 awards in the National Scholastic Art Awards in high school and planned to go on to a degree in Art. This plan was interrupted with marriage and children and relocating many times until the move to Minnesota. Here the stay was long enough to enroll at the U. of Minnesota as an art major in addition to raising her 4 school age children.
In the last 4 years she has seriously taken up the brushes again and has been studying with Marija McCarthy. She has had 3 solo exhibits, the latest one at the Litchfield Library July 2009. She is a member of Washington Art Assoc., Lyme Art Assoc. and an elected member of Kent Art Assoc.
