Artist's Statement
My pastels are inspired by the beauty and color found in nature. The etchings reveal a connection to, and a yearning for, places only visited by my heart. I am continually inspired by artists such as: Delacroix, Edgar Degas, James Abbott McNeill Whistler and Claudio Bravo, with an inclination for Africa as the subject matter.
